Environmental Health Authority Links
Environmental Health are responsible for ensuring that food businesses meet the legal requirements on food hygiene and supply food that is safe to eat.
All food premises must be registered with the local Environmental Health Authority. Environmental Health regularly inspect food premises, usually unannounced, in order to ensure that standards of food safety are maintained and improved. They will also act upon complaints about food quality, hygiene and safety issues.
Scores on the Doors now publishes food hygiene inspections online for consumers to see. By having a vigorous food management system in place, it will keep you on the right side of your Environmental Health Office and show your customers that you run a clean and hygienic operation.
