Julie Balch

MBA, BSc (Hotel Management & Catering), Associate of the Institute for Independent Business

 

Julie has over 30 years' experience in the hospitality industry and after successfully completing her BSc in Hotel Management & Catering at Hollings Faculty in Manchester, started her career in hotel management for some of the country's top hotels.   Never wanting to remain static, she has also managed smaller Country House hotels and several pubs and restaurants, including managing her family's outside catering and restaurant business.

 

Julie has extensive experience of assisting the tourism and hospitality industries throughout the UK and internationally in India, Turkey and Dubai.  She also spent three years as Food and Beverage Consultant, providing food and beverage support throughout 38 nations in the Caribbean.

 

As a specialist in Human Resource Management and Training, Julie has developed and delivered numerous training programmes and qualifications for the hospitality and food manufacturing sector and is a qualified CIEH and RSPH trainer for food safety and health & safety, in addition to BII licensing qualifications.

 

Julie is now a successful hospitality Company Director and Business Specialist Consultant, providing business coaching and advice to numerous operations in order to maximise profitability and growth.
